FUSD Continues Search for New Superintendent

Fresno Unified School District (FUSD), which serves over 74,000 students and is the fourth largest school district in California, is currently on the search for a new superintendent.

To aid them in their search, FUSD has hired the search firm Leadership Associates. Meetings to gather input from parents, teachers, staff and community members are already underway and will be held at each of the comprehensive high schools in FUSD.

Schedule:

The community meetings are expected to be a source of input in order to draft a desirable job description that reflects the values and desires of the community. The job description and applications will become available in June of this year. Leadership Associates and a committee of 10-14 individuals designated by the school board will review qualified candidates.

Fresno could meet its new superintendent as soon as September, which means that community input needs to be heard now.
